What is the current status of mHealth app publishing and how will it develop over the next 5 years? These are the two major questions which have been the motivation for the survey in which more than 2,000 current and future mHealth app publishers and experts have shared their experience. The survey captured the current status of more than 5.800 mHealth apps representing around 10% of the total market as the majority of apps are published on iOS and Android but are counted as one app in the study. There are around 100,000 mHealth apps available in major application stores.
The study provides a comprehensive view on who is behind the increasing number of mHealth apps publication on the publishers’ objectives. In addition, it highlights factors which distinguish financially successful app publishers from those who are less successful in generating revenue.
