In meinem sehr netten Telefonat heute mit Euro I (das sind die Macher von Yavido) wurde mir bestätigt, daß Mooph auf dem Reeperbahnfestival ein voller Erfolg war. Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Weiter so!

YAVIDO MOOPH brings social networking, music information, downloads and chat to users mobile phones

CONCORD, MA and HAMBURG GERMANY, (September 25, 2006) – The future of mobile social networking and music was launched at the Reeperbahn Music Festival in Hamburg, Germany, last weekend. Euro I AG, the German broadcaster for music and interactive entertainment, unveiled YAVIDO MOOPH (pronounced “move”) www.mooph.de , its new mobile networking and music application.

YAVIDO MOOPH integrates Nextcode’s patent-pending ConnexTo™ mobile code scanning technology. Through the use of Nextcode’s unique mobile barcode mCode™, YAVIDO MOOPH users have a new way to access user profiles, band information, concert and club details plus download music and ringtones.

A core capability for YAVIDO MOOPH is the users’ ability to access content by simply scanning a mCode on a poster, print ad, TV screen, sticker or even the screen of a phone and link directly to the preferred content. Code scanning gets users directly to content quickly with a single click instead of the hassles of keying in SMS messages or WAP URLs. YAVIDO MOOPH and Nextcode believe that ease of use and the quick content integration will be the major drivers in the consumer uptake on mobile code scanning capabilities.

YAVIDO MOOPH uses Nextcode’s mCode 2D mobile barcode and its ConnexTo software which are specifically designed for standard camera phones and mobile services. This technology opens up new mobile applications by greatly simplifying access to content and services.

“As we developed YAVIDO MOOPH, we knew that code scanning could enable easy use for our members and help us grow the community,” said Euro I AG Managing Director, Uwe Bernhard Wache. “We believe with Nextcode’s Technology we will build a strong entertainment community features as well as improve the usability of the mobile service. The ConnexTo platform not only provides strong performance but also offers good solutions for easy platform integration.

“YAVIDO MOOPH is a great model of how to make user generated content and community applications work for mobile.” said Jim Levinger, Nextcode CEO. “When users are mobile, they are out in the real world, not behind their desk. YAVIDO MOOPH with ConnexTo lets them easily interact with that world and quickly get the information they want.” he added.
Euro I AG’s launch of YAVIDO MOOPH closely follows Nettwerk Music’s and iLoop Mobile’s announcement that they would use Nextcode’s technology in advertising and promotion of the new Barenaked Ladies album B.L.A.M. in North America.
